Who Am I?
I consider myself a jack of many trades, exceptionally well at a few. A few of those trades are of the arts. I am a multi-media artist who creates visuals that portrays African/African-American/Pan-African culture in a positive light.
Hip-hop culture and music, especially that from the late 80s and early 90s is an inspiration of my interest in the artistic expression of the beauty and positivity of Black culture, heritage and history. I seek ways to integrate “hip-hop” into my work. My LLC is eN=Graff LLC. This name is an portmanteau that plays on the word "graffiti”, with graffiti art being the visual art element of hip-hop.
Some of my more recent artwork, I have been experimenting with my visual artwork with pieces that I call “2D Graffiti Sculpture Pieces” and “2D Graffiti Mural Sculptures” where I use materials such as wood, cutting and moulding shapes that resemble graffiti lettering, and combine that with portraits that represent black culture. I’ve previously worked on perfecting realism in my portrait art, but I am finding so much creative freedom in semi-realism, and deviating from exactness.
I am looking to be commissioned and collaborate with individuals who would desire a 2D Graffiti Sculpture Piece or 2D Graffiti Mural Sculpture, as well as businesses and organizations, especially local businesses and organizations in the Toledo Metro area who would also wish to commission or collaborate, allowing and witnessing me to continue to experiment.
